In Memory
Mark McEwan

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Carter McEwan (Fullerton, California), who passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mark may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

Mark was always very friendly to everyone. He had a great smile. Sorry to hear he has passed.

I didn't know Mark personally, but I "knew" who he was. If asked, I would have said he is genuine, smart, hard-working, intense, a friendly "know where I'm going" kind of guy.
I have never forgotten the night I was walking in light rain on 3300 east, when he pulled over in the GTO he had bought (I think it was a GTO), rolled down the window, and asked me if I wanted a ride (to Skyline). I was floored. Mark McEwan was well known, universally liked (as far as I knew!), and just plain cool. I was none of those things, but here he was, noticing me and reaching out to me as one human being to another. I accepted the ride!
I've seen many announcements of other Eagles who have passed, but this one hit different. Mark made a difference in my life... on purpose. He didn't have to, but he did, because that's who he really was. He gave me much more than a ride that night!
Thanks, brother. Your memory continues to bless me!
P.S. - Sharon is right!
