In Memory
Let the memory of Kevin be with us forever.
- 70 years old
- Born on January 9, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
- Passed away on January 2, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
On the morning of January 2, 2022 Kevin became another victim of cancer. He will be missed so much by his family and many, many friends.
Kevin was born in Salt Lake City on January 9, 1951 and spent the rest of his life here. It was rare when he went out that he didn't run into someone he knew.
Kevin attended Linfield College in Oregon for two years and then transferred to and graduated from the University of Utah, where he also got his law degree. He spent his last day watching the Utes play in their first Rose Bowl. Kevin served as a criminal defense attorney for over 40 years.
The one thing that Kevin loved in life more than anything else was being a dad. He loved taking the kids on trips, coaching Colten's basketball team, going to Sam's Tae Kwon Do tournaments, attending their school events, and just hanging out. And he loved golf!
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Jean, sons Sam and Colten, brothers Dennis and Craig, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jun and Helen, his sister Leslie, his brother, Kim, and his baby girl, Kelsey.

I am so sorry to hear about Kevin. We were friends from Jr Hi through high school. As teenagers, we played a lot of golf (he was clearly better than me!) I always remembered him being a fun and kind person May his memory be a blessing

I am stunned yhat Kevin is not here any more, and I am even more saddened that he and all he loved had to deal with the ugliness and terminal nature of cancer. A real gentle person who did much to further the life of the mind, Kevin will be missed from afar by those wo sppreciated and respected him, and from up close, from all those who loved him. Peace, Peace.

RIP, Kevin. 40 years in criminal defense is an amazing career. I used to wonder how someone could represent folks that were "guilty", that is until I found myself in need of that kind of representation. My attitude changed dramatically after seeing how the "system" is stacked against anyone finding themselves stuck inside of it. God go with you, my friend.

Kevin was a great friend and an amazing golfer. I sure enjoyed playing with him and carrying for him in state tournaments. I love driving his old car. So sorry we lost touch after high school. Life gets in the way way too often.
