Johnell (Johnnye) Walker Booth
1951 ~ 2011
Our precious beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, poet, artist and dear friend passed away peacefully on September 28th, surrounded by family, after a courageous 45 year battle with Lupus.
Born July 29, 1951 in Salt Lake City to John Rankin Walker and Genevieve Coleman Walker, Johnnye graduated from Skyline High School before starting her career at the VA Hospital.
Johnnye touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her free spirit and optimistic attitude. Her infectious laugh, generosity and care for others were her "trademarks". She was a best friend to all and could light up a room with her humor and wit. Her sweet and loving spirit will live in our hearts forever.
Johnnye is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Eddie; mother, Genevieve (Jennie) Walker; sister, Wende Harris; brother, Charles (Charlie) Walker; sister-in-law, Madeleine B. Behle (Hugh) and several nieces and nephews, whom she thought of as her own.
Preceded in death by her father, John R. Walker and her sister-in-law, Linda B. Schweikardt.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Sawitzke and to the amazing staff in the IMCU department at the U of U Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.
