Greg B. Davis

Greg B. Davis

Gregory B. Davis

Gregory B. Davis left this world to begin a new journey on the morning of June 14, 2001, after a 6-month courageous battle with gastric

adenocarcinoma.

Greg was born in Salt Lake City, December 6, 1950, to Burt H. and Faye B. Davis. He married Shauna R. Davis, September 18, 1974, in the Salt Lake Temple.

After graduating from Skyline High School, Greg served a two-year LDS mission in Washington, D.C. He achieved his Bachelor degree at the University of Utah, and later accomplished an MBA at the University of Phoenix. He retired after serving 23 years in the United States Army Reserve.

The center of Greg's life was service to others. In work, he counseled many children and teens at UNI, Rivendell, and ARTEC. He was employed with the State of Utah Department of Workforce Services for 11 years.

Greg had many passions; his wife and three daughters (including "their PMS 365 days a year"), family and friends, the JAZZ, University of Utah football and gymnastics, Dr. Pepper, Wendy's, Crownburger, chocolate, camping, jet-skiing, cruises, and his newest "toy", the helicopter.

He is survived by his wife Shauna, mother Faye, brother Steve (Peggy), daughters Shelly, Nikki (Mike) Wells, Ashley and step-grandson, Andrew. He was preceded in death by his father, Burt, and brother-in-law, Ron E. Davis.

The family would like to thank family and friends for their support, the nurses for their compassion while Greg underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and the loving staff and friends at St. Mark's Hospital, and Rocky Mountain Hospice. Thank you all for your special care and making it possible for us to spend the precious time we had left with our Dad, in our home.

The family requests that friends bring a letter or note about Greg that may be added to our collection to keep his memory alive for years to come.

YOU FINALLY GOT IN THE LAST WORD, DAD!!

WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS.
