Montez was my first best friend when I moved into the neighborhood when we were both 5 years old.  Her parents' yard was full of colorful flowers, and Montez kept that tradition of skilled gardening at her home in Lyman, UT.  She struggled with diabetes for most of her adult life, but faced those challenges fearlessly. RIP, my wonderful friend.
