Born October 17, 1951 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Ralph and Grace Cecelia Koyle Harmer. Married Debra Lynn Del’Andrae June 24, 1972. Survived by Debra, 5 Children (Jason James Harmer, Heidi Harmer Parker, Heather Harmer, Jared Roy Harmer, and Jordan Harmer), 10 Grand Children, Siblings: Russell Harmer, Kay Harmer, Bliss Harmer and Myrna Kamae. Preceded in death by sibling, Shirlene Lowe.

Jim’s first and foremost priority was that of his beloved family. Aside from being the best Father, Grand Father, Husband and Provider, Jim and Debbie were not only lovers but best friends for 46 ½ continuous years and will remain so forever more.

Jim attended different high schools including Springville, McKinley in Honolulu, Jordan, and graduated from Skyline High as well as Stevens Henager Business College. He was an avid Teamster Union Member, worked for Alta Ski Lifts, AJ Dean’s, Forrest’s Concrete Pumping, PIE, CF and Yellow/Roadway Express. He was a friend to everyone and all were touched by his humor and fun loving presence!

Though 63, Jim refused to succumb. He was an admired athlete with a passion for living life to the fullest. He got his rush from “hittin’ one outta the park” with his favorite new bat on any one of four softball teams he currently played on consecutively, “tearin’ it up” at the Huntsman Senior Games, “catchin’ a wave”, successfully accomplishing the steepest and most difficult hill on the slopes, or skillfully making the art of a beautiful slalom run look amazingly easy. Travel included 23 cruises, China, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy, Turkey and the Caribbean.

On his most recent extreme Mexico adventure in July, Jim left the “civilized” world behind for a truly exhilarating outdoor excursion. He took exciting speed boat & off- road adventures, hiked through the heart of the tropical forest, learned a variety of wilderness techniques, rode mules and splashed through streams. He rappelled through waterfalls into natural river pools, soared up to 200 feet above the ground over the jungle foliage on a series of thrilling zip lines- some as long as a 1000 ft., finally launching down waterslides.
