What a tremendous loss! So many great memories from grade school through High School! We were fortunate enough to have visited him and his family a couple times in Hawaii. He always had an exuberant and infectious greeting and love for people. We are so saddened by his absence from this world...he will be missed. Aloha!

Kenny is a dear and noble soul. He loved 🥰 me since the 7th grade unconditionally and y'all know how hard that was to do. I spoke to our dear friend and Kenny's constant cohort Steve Maero Sunday. He is of course devastated as is the family which of course includes the Maero family. Please include them all in your prayers. Kenny was in excellent health and was taken in a tragic work accident. Kenny would want to remind us how fragile life is. We all need to cherish every moment with gratitude. Kenny we love ❤️ you and miss you and are here for your family. I will see ya soon in what I am sure will feel like the blink of an eye. 🙏🌎

Kenny was a true friend to all and I cherish the fact that I was one of them, even after we graduated from Skyline.  I am so happy that I was able to spend time with him and his beautiful wife EmiLei at our 50the class reunion.  Kenny, you will never be forgotten!  Pat Arakaki-Price

I too was shocked and saddened at the news of Ken's death.  I always was amazed at his athletic ability and determination.  He was an inspiration as a football player in high school.  I was able to talk to him briefly at our last class reunion.  I have thought of him often over the last fifty years and knew he lived in Hawaii.  I wish I had taken the time to visit him the times we visited that island.  There is so much to know.  My sympathies go out to his wife, children and families, may God's blessings comfort you all.

Such a shock!  I did not know Kenny well. He sat behind me in one of my Skyline classes, and was a source of fun and kindness., He made a very positive impression on me. We said hello briefly a couple of times over the years and spoke at the 50th reunion. Considering how sad I feel at his passing, I cannot imagine what those who were close to him are feeling.right now.  I send my sincere sympathy.

One of the "good guys", a friend to all, fun to be around, he lighted up a whole lot of fun, and you will be missed, Kenny!  Till we meet again. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to visit last year at the reunion.

I to got to spend some time with Kenny at our reunion and I have decided the time was way too short that we spent together. I posted on the day after this happened but it did not appear with everyone else's postings. I am grateful for that. It has giving me some additional time to think about what a good man he was and is. I wanted to ask him if he remembered the time we played East high school in football and the team bus left without him. A parent brought him back to our school. He was very apologetic about missing the bus but it was later found out that he probably suffered a concussion at the game. That was Kenny, he apologized for missing the bus. 99.9% of our team would have been mad at the coaching staff or the bus driver for leaving them. Not Kenny. . . You will be missed dear friend.

Kenny's passing has had a profound impact on our fellow classmates.  What a vibrant personality he had!  I'm very grateful he came to the 50-year reunion and volunteered to be a contestant as part of the entertainment.  When I think back on all the years I knew him (since junior high), he was always smiling and very well liked among both guys and girls.  I'm thankful to have known him.  Rest in peace, dear friend.

Wow, this is sad news. I've known Kenny since grade school. I've always looked up to Kenny as a great leader and person. It is tragic to see his life taken this way.My prayers go out to his wonderful large family. He will be missed by many.

I cannot see my original post so I am going to write and post it again.  I was blessed to grow up in the Canyon Rim neighborhood, and Kenny was one of my friends and classmates.  I have so many good memories of Kenny and his family, and I am very sad to hear of his death.  Kenny was one of the most genuine, talented and positive people I have ever known.  Kenny contacted me in 2019 before the Skyline Class Of 1969 reunion.  He wanted to make sure I was attending, and told me he had something he wanted to give me.  When we were able to visit at the reunion, he gave me an envelope.  In the envelope was a photograph of our Little League baseball team.  Kenny's father did an awesome job of coaching this team and several of our Skyline classmates were team members.  I was always impressed with Kenny's talent as an all around baseball player and a very good pitcher.  I will always cherish this opportunity to catch up with Kenny and remember his kindness in taking the time to remember those days gone by.  Our prayers are with Kenny's wife and family as they celebrate his life!  Mahalo for being such a positive influence in so many lives!
