October 21, 1951 - March 2, 2011

James Scott Gregerson, better known as Scott, was a charming man who loved his family unconditionally. He will be remembered best for his countless stories of his youth. When the words started "I remember when…." we all knew we were about to hear another story.

Born October 21, 1951 to James and Rae Gregerson, Scott was their second child. He had an older sister, Rebecca, and a younger brother, Brad. He was very close to his family growing up. He and his sister lived separate lives yet stayed close to the end.

His life as a young child was happy and full of love. He started playing golf at a young age. He found love and solace in the game of golf and was very good at it. Playing golf, attending golf tournaments, recording golf, anything golf made him happy.

His years in high school years were filled with pleasant memories and Scott graduated from Skyline High in Salt Lake City in 1969. He taught himself how to play the guitar. His beautiful voice matched well with his passion for writing and singing his own songs. He spent many nights at Sugar House Park jamming with his friends. Moreover, Scott was a romantic.

He was first married to Anne Mecham and they were blessed with two children. He loved Jessica and John with all his heart and was a devoted father to them. Scott was a master cabinet builder for many years of his life. He owned his own business and loved designing and building. The satisfaction of seeing the end result of hard work gave him gratification.

Scott suffered from asthma and after years of cold weather and building cabinets, he left Idaho Falls and moved to Tucson, AZ. He started a successful flooring business. It was in Tucson that he met his second wife, Jan Casey and they started a new life together.
With his blended family, Scott was blessed with six children along with eight grandchildren: Chase, Ashton, Sadie, Cade, Dylan, Sofee, Olive, and Baby Spencer. "Pa" will be missed!

The last ten years of Scott's life was spent in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a well-respected flooring manager at R.C. Willey for 7 years.

Scott passed away on March 2, 2011 at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
