Frank Bringhurst, 49, was born July 18, 1951 in Salt Lake City, the son of Ray and Lucille Bringhurst. He passed away April 29, 2001 after many years of illness and pain. He married Karen Crane May 26, 1979 in Salt Lake City.

Frank graduated from Skyline High School in 1969. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Frank was a member of Ironworkers Local 27. The years he spent Ironworking were some of his most enjoyable times. After an injury at work, he was employed for several years with the State of Utah, Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Public Safety.

He greatly enjoyed the mountains and wildlife. Camping and fishing were some of his favorite activities. He enjoyed salmon and halibut fishing in Washington with his family and friends. Frank maintained a close relationship with many of his high school friends.

Frank was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Karen, and children, Dakota, Meridyth and Ben, mother, Lucille, sisters, Cathy (Steve) Johnson and Carol (Joe) Moore; aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous loving and thoughtful friends and neighbors who have been supportive and caring for many years. Frank was preceded in death by his father.

Frank leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love and compassion. He will be missed by all that had the privilege of being touched by his warm and caring heart. Love always . . .
